Biography

American author Thomas Ralston Smith was born in 1830. He was also a minister in the Presbyterian Church. His works include a handbook for church leaders as well as some published sermons he preached in 1877 on Piety and Morality. His most well-known work is The Psalter, published with responsive readings, Chants, and lessons. Smith lived to the age of 73. He died in 1903 and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, located in New York.
