Biography

Henry Harphius was a renowned mystical theologian who lived in Belgium during the fifteenth century, 1410 to 1478. He was a monk in the order of St. Francis. His leadership was recognized and respected. He was able to bring a higher standard of discipline to several convents. He also wrote many sermons and other works in Dutch and Latin. The Contemplative Eden and The Mirror of Perfection are two of his works.
