Biography

 The Doctrine of Endless Punishment, Calvinism: Pure and Mixed, and Dogmatic Theology are three works of William Greenough Thayer Shedd. Each reflects his staunch adherence to the doctrines of the Christian faith. His teachers and higher education sparked a love for philosophy and literature. Shedd pastored churches and was also a professor for several years. As a Presbyterian and “High Calvinist”, Shedd was well respected in life and death. Born in 1820, Shedd lived out most of his life in New England and died in 1894.
