This page has been created in order to keep returning users of TOLBSS up to date on the changes that are being made.  Please continue to let me know of any errors or additions.  I really appreciate your comments and emails about the site and your suggestions for its improvement.

As always, if there are any bad links, spelling errors or additions to make, please let me know.  I would rather hear about the problems 10 times than have them still exist.  Also, if you have an Online Bible website and want to have a link from TOLBSS to it, or if you've created any material for the Online Bible, please email me and let me know.

The changes which were made during 1999 have been moved to the What's New - 1999 page. Those for 2000 to the What's New - 2000 page.  Please see those pages for details.  This page will contain the changes as will be made in the year 2001.

NEW--Who are the site operators? Ernie Spillman (web master) and Jonathan Dixon (founder).

December 16th, 2001 (10:25 pm, PST)

  • Updated Grammar Uses Version (beta) on the English bible translations page. From Gary: Matthew, John, Acts, and Romans are finished. In What's New, could you insert this: please click on the readme button when viewing the passage for this module to access the info on this version. Also download PGUV to understand the Greek. (ES)

  • The On-Going Projects page finally got an update, I already know this is not complete and may not evan be accurate on a couple of entries--if anyone has better information they care to share--please let me know. (ES)
December 11th, 2001 (12:20 am, PST)
  • Added Sanctification by Beverly Carradine to the Theology Books page. This book tends to be pretty denominational (Methodist) but for one who does not possess the power from on high that Jesus promised, it will help get you there if you simply replace where it says "methodist" with "christian";). Probably one of the better organized books on this subject I have seen.(ES)
  • Userlib has recieved a pretty heavy-duty update that should now include all books in the library. If you notice something missing, please let me know. Thanks to Gary Gallant for fixing it.(ES)
  • Thanks to three brothers in Christ, our Thanksgiving actually was, the electric and some other bills got paid, though they've cut the phone (heh, only to call out) amazingly, I still have internet. I am on an out-patient basis from the VA hospital now and the classes and therapies are keeping me pretty busy. I am attempting to resubmit my medical retirment packet to the City of Tacoma, I'd ask for prayer for this as they still seem to hold against me my testimony before the Water Utility Board. That's okay, they have lawyers, I have Jesus:).(ES)
  • I don't want to steal Jonathan's thunder, but I heard the Lord blessed them with a new arrival, Caleb, whom you can see here. (ES)
November 20th, 2001 (8:20 am, PST) November 17th, 2001 (5:00 am, PST)
  • Heh, Can't sleep so I might as well update;)
  • Added Strong Meat For Hungry Souls - The Gospel of Mark--get it on the User-made commentaries page.(ES)
  • I have made an attempt at creating a Korean bible module from text from the Sword Project -- it does not work under the English version of Windows, but I believe it may well work under the Korean version, so anyone who has Korean Windows installed as well as the OLB is encouraged to contact me if you would like to give it a try (Must be before the 26th!).(ES)
November 16th, 2001 (7:10 am, PST) November 10th, 2001 (7:10 pm, PST)
  • Small update--World English Bible was updated to reflect the newest posted version. I'm still working on correcting the HNV. You can find it on the English bible translations page.(ES)
  • I will be entering the Va hospital from 26 November through 3 January for treatment of PTSD (Didn't know what that was until they told me I had it;). My wife is doing a lot better, but my sons will be filling Daddy's shoes for a while--you're prayers are earnestly solicited. Anyone with material to submit for posting should try to get it in before the 24th as I'm unsure as to my ability to maintain the site from the hospital (heh-or do anything else;).(ES)
  • Donations are still earnestly solicited, I still am not recieving anything from the government to live on, the paperwork/documentations/ and doctors appointments go on. There was only one donation of $50.00 in the last two months, this falls a little short of the $900-1000 a month it takes me to barely scrape by, we are living on my wife's social security check ($400) and what my eldest son can spare (sometimes $200). If you benefit from my work here, it would seem reasonable that you could share some of the benefit God supplies you financialy--my address and information are linked here as well as the new link above.(ES)

September 28th, 2001 (1:30 am, PST)
  • My thanks to those who were praying for my family--my wife has been released from the hospitol and has returned home--though it was confirmed that indeed she had another stroke, she has not had any further impairment of her body and indeed, seems to be just a smidgeon less paralyzed in her left side, she talks better (and she says, with less pain)  It's way too early to know what the end result of this will be, but I'm very hopeful for the first time in three years. I praise my Lord for His mercy toward me in my afflictions. Please continue to pray that these financial difficulties be overcome, I'm still without income.
  • The cd offer is withdrawn--there was only one request for it, but my cd burner is on the fritz, I have not resources to replace it--that one request will be filled soon, but I can do no more, sorry.
  • Check back in a few days, I have some material to post but no time tonight.

September 14th, 2001 (5:30 pm, PST)

  • Our prayers go out for the familys of those who lost thier lives in these acts of war and terror that were perpetrated the other day -- Satan finds quick use for those fools who tell themselves that the end justifies the means and the death of innocents will help thier cause. It's easy to see a religion without Christ and self-delusion at the root of this sort of thing. Please join me in praying for wisdom, courage, and  forthright actions for our leaders right now.(ES)
  • My own module work is delayed right now, my beloved wife has again been hospitolized for complications from the stroke she suffered some time ago--I thank those friends who have been praying and ask that they continue as she remains weak and disoriented. It's very hard on her when she has been working so hard to regain some of her mobility. If anyone has modules to be submitted, please send me mail, I'll do my best to get them posted as I have time on the machine.(ES)
September 5th, 2001 (5:30 pm, PST) September 4th, 2001 (12:30 pm, PST)
  • Added Gleanings from Elisha to the A. W. Pink Collection page.(ES)
  • Prayers and donations are still very welcome. (there's been one donation in the last 3 weeks) My thanks to the man who sent the $50.00 I have gas to get to the VA hospitol for a while.. (ES)
August 26th, 2001 (1:00 pm, PST)
  • Added Vincent's NT Word Studies to the User-made commentaries page.(ES)
  • May have found a way to pay part of the power bill and the mortguage payment. Donations and prayers are still highly appreciated. For those wondering about how my church helps, they've supplied our food needs as much as they are able for quite a while, as well as money from time to time. But it's a very small fellowship and I'm not the only one in need. I thank God for the support they provide.

  • Folks, I need to get something off my chest, something that troubles me a lot--While I've never done this ministry for pay, I consider it only proper that I recieve something to enable me to continue. I'm sad to say this hasn't really happened. Last year during an extreme crisis, I posted about my needs on this page and six people responded for a total of $750.00--the largest contributer whom I will not name, the Lord knows him I'm sure, was a janitor who contributed $250.00, most likely his whole savings. This year, I've recieved only $25.00. Anyone who actually reads this page knows that I am disabled and unable to work, finances are very poor, to say the least, it's a major struggle to keep an internet connection to enable me to do this. This past month has evan been hard to secure food to fill our stomachs. I could go on, but won't--It's demeaning to both you and I as children of God for me to have to do this--I despise revealing my nakedness on the net for all to see how little people care. I have applied for welfare, having no choice, my crippled wife must eat and have a place to stay. I won't say this is the last update I'll make, I have a burdon for souls and must do the Lord's will, but it's becoming a big stumbling block to me and I wonder--Does anybody really benefit from all this work? If so, why are they unwilling to provide a little help? --- (ES)

  • I'd like to make a request--I'd like to thank those who send me alms to support me from time to time--being unemployed and unemployable due to my back injuries, etc I am gratful for every dollar sent no matter the amount, but I have no bank account or easy way to cash checks, the local bank where I cash them charges $5.00 minimum to cash a check so it's a waste of time to cash a $5.00 one, I think it might be better to wrap small amounts in a sheet of paper instead, if you are lead by the Lord to do so. I continue to solicit your prayers that we get some equitable settlement of my long-running problems, thank you. (ES)
June 2nd, 2001 (10:45 pm, PST)
  • Selected Works of C. H. Macintosh was updated with major formatting changes (to wrap the text so it can be displayed at diffrent resolutions other than 800x600) and extensive spell and error correcting, it's been completly proof-read. If you haven't read this, do so, it's a gem! You can find it on the Holiness/Inspirational books page.  (ES)

  • Sorry for the lack of updates folks, real life is still demanding most of my free time making it very hard to either update, answer e-mail, or create new modules. Meanwhile the Lord continues to keep us going, sometimes in the most amazing ways--I recieved quite a large refund this year from the IRS, first time in many years I haven't had to pay them and the largest refund I have ever recieved from them ever:). My sons are supporting the family now, getting to be quite resposible, I am richly blessed (and pleasently suprised;). I'm praying that as time goes on that the company I worked for fulfills their resposibilities so this will be no longer necesary, we'll see.(ES)

Enclosed is also _BISS the uncompiled module and Example (files which are html files from the web site and .txt files from the .html files now converted with the conversion tool within OLB program. This is how Larry wants his modules made. Enclosed readme.txt file to show step by step within Example.zip. All files within Example.zip has its purpose. Users could try to reduplicate BISS by maybe calling it another name so they will have practice using this new method developped by Larry. Could you post BISS, _BISS and Example.zip and advise users that they need to check out readme.txt file within Example.zip and practice making BISS by calling it another name."[JD]

  • Updated our posting policy in the Upload section. Sorry, but this has become nessasary due to problems others are having with poorly constructed and formatted modules. Larry Pierce has been finding it very hard to continue to support user-made modules in the program that are not corrected and full of errors. While such may very well work on your own system for a time, invariably after one of the many program changes they must be either corrected or replaced--it makes far better sense to require that they be error free and well done in the first place. Ultimatly, we will all benefit from the small amount of extra trouble to turn out good quality material that will work consistantly for everybody. (ES)

  • For those who have been praying for me, I thank you in Christ. At the present time, I am no longer working for my former employer. Prayer and waiting on the Lord have lead me to believe I must now take my case to an attorney to prevent reprisels such as I have suffered from falling on others who only desire to do thier job in peace without humiliation and threat by those who consider themselves superior due to color, creed, or position, as well as those whose only crime is being injured on the job. It is with the greatest reluctance I do this, with a disabled wife and children at home, but I know what I must do. Your continued prayers are greatly appreciated. Thank you.(ES)

  • I would like to ask for continued prayer, I was informed by my doctor today that my back problems are not medically repairable. What this means in terms of reality is if I am able to stand the pain sufficiantly to do the work, I can continue to hold my job, if not I will lose it with little responsibility from my employer. This doctor has had special training in the laws of the state of Washington and he infoms me that in this state, there is little recourse for people injured on the job beyond a certain amount of time, if the injury does not respond to treatment and pain is not regarded as sufficient grounds for disability. I will follow my Lord's leading and see what transpires. I'd like to thank the many people who have continued to encourage and support me, it isn't over yet. (ES)
