Could one of you calvanists out there explain to me Calvanism? I don't really have a solid grasp of it.
From what I understand (actually what I DON'T understand)...
1) God has chosen a select (elect) few to recieve Salvation.
2) Only God can save them--nothing the individual does whatsoever makes a difference--it doesn't not matter if a person wishes to "accept" Jesus or not--he or she is one of the elect, and thus automatically saved.
3) Everyone else is sunk.
I suspect there is more to Calvanism then this blurred vision of calvanism I have gleaned from the calvanistic-type radio station around here. Can someone clear it up for me?
