Are We Living in the Last Days?

Do you read any of the news? The Gaza Strip has been taken over by Hamas, the militant Islam group. The president of Iran has vowed to wipe out Jews and Christians and talks about the return of the Mahdi, the second coming of their prophet. If you read Matthew 24 where Jesus talks about the signs of the last days, many things have been fulfilled or are being fulfilled. Perhaps you believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church, or not? What does it matter but that we are ready like the wise virgins in the parable of the foolish and wise virgins? We must ask ourselves "What am I doing today that will have eternal value and make me a useful vessel for my Master, Jesus Christ?" Perhaps you are like I once was, many times 'caught up with the cares of this world'. Then one day I prayed 'do whatever it takes, Lord, to make me on fire for you again.' The Lord was faithful to answer my prayer in a way I never expected. My prayer is that I have challenged you to wake up and seek God's perfect will, or maybe even to be bold enough to pray the Lord will do 'whatever it takes' in your life to make you on fire for Jesus!

Dear Onfire- I could not

Dear Onfire-

I could not agree more with this verse. And what is the armor of God? It is love mainly, prayer second, faith, trust and perseverance. Most certainly we will fall into the hands of the evil one without these virtues. Sometimes it will be hard to trust, especially when the blows are hard. That is where perseverance comes into play along with prayer and faith.

We must never cease praying. One can pray all day by saying simple prayers like Jesus, I trust in you or Jesus save souls. Short prayers, even just saying His holy Name will keep the evil one away and allow us to live a righteous life as best as possible. This is a big part of that armor.

Thank you for bringing to life such an important passage as Eph 6:10-18.

Many blessings to you both!

Yours in Christ,
