Are We Living in the Last Days?

Do you read any of the news? The Gaza Strip has been taken over by Hamas, the militant Islam group. The president of Iran has vowed to wipe out Jews and Christians and talks about the return of the Mahdi, the second coming of their prophet. If you read Matthew 24 where Jesus talks about the signs of the last days, many things have been fulfilled or are being fulfilled. Perhaps you believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church, or not? What does it matter but that we are ready like the wise virgins in the parable of the foolish and wise virgins? We must ask ourselves "What am I doing today that will have eternal value and make me a useful vessel for my Master, Jesus Christ?" Perhaps you are like I once was, many times 'caught up with the cares of this world'. Then one day I prayed 'do whatever it takes, Lord, to make me on fire for you again.' The Lord was faithful to answer my prayer in a way I never expected. My prayer is that I have challenged you to wake up and seek God's perfect will, or maybe even to be bold enough to pray the Lord will do 'whatever it takes' in your life to make you on fire for Jesus!

If it's not in God's Word, it shouldn't be heard...

That's one of my husband's sayings.:-) Anyway, I am thankful to those who have quoted the Bible in their blogs. No matter how advanced we are technologically, God's Word always has and always have all the answers for everything. As Christians, the Bible must be our lifeline, our road map which we follow daily. In the midst of all that is going on today, even though many events have happened, the real question is, what are you doing today to prepare for eternity? When you stand before Jesus when you die- which we all will- how will you account for your life? The answer is in His book, the Bible, the #1 best seller of all time. Our opinion will not matter, only whether or not we did God's will. So, that being said, I will do my best to back up what I say with Scripture.
So, what is the answer? How do I live my life today? So much is happening in the world that the news can be overwhelming...

For the answer, see my other blog, What does the Bible say?

I asked Jesus 'how much do you love me?' and He said, 'this much' and He stretched out His hands on the cross and died. Are you living totally surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ each day?
