Are We Living in the Last Days?

Do you read any of the news? The Gaza Strip has been taken over by Hamas, the militant Islam group. The president of Iran has vowed to wipe out Jews and Christians and talks about the return of the Mahdi, the second coming of their prophet. If you read Matthew 24 where Jesus talks about the signs of the last days, many things have been fulfilled or are being fulfilled. Perhaps you believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church, or not? What does it matter but that we are ready like the wise virgins in the parable of the foolish and wise virgins? We must ask ourselves "What am I doing today that will have eternal value and make me a useful vessel for my Master, Jesus Christ?" Perhaps you are like I once was, many times 'caught up with the cares of this world'. Then one day I prayed 'do whatever it takes, Lord, to make me on fire for you again.' The Lord was faithful to answer my prayer in a way I never expected. My prayer is that I have challenged you to wake up and seek God's perfect will, or maybe even to be bold enough to pray the Lord will do 'whatever it takes' in your life to make you on fire for Jesus!

Hello to all-I believe we

Hello to all-

I believe we are indeed very close to the beginning of the end of times. It is all around us.

Matthew 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."
We see this everyday in the MiddleEast and Africa. Then Korea and China are little signs of trouble (big and little sleeping giants, if you ask me). Then the famine in India, Africa, South America and in Haiti. Earthquakes are happening all over the world with more frequency.

False Prophets:

Matthew 24:11 "And many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many."
Many have claimed to be the Messiah like Jim Jones. People following all kinds of self proclaimed messiahs. Look at Waco,TX. All these new religious fads and new agers.

Matthew 24:8-9 "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of my name."
Christians are hated everywhere - in the Muslim nations, China, Russia. Many martyrs for the faith, even today with missionaries taken hostage and killed, Fr Oscar Romero killed.

II Timothy 3:1-5,7 "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

We can see this all around us. We honor more our possessions and make those our God. Our leaders are corupt in the nation. Morality is at an all time low with drugs and sex everywhere, attacking our youth. Homosexuality is at an all time high, showing no regard for a true family environment. Beliefs in reincarnation, karma, new age, growth in spiritualism, satanism, sorcery and it goes on and on.

So, yes, I do feel that we are in the end of times. However, generations before have felt many of these things mentioned above, especially when major things happen like the fall of the Roman Empire, or France or during World War II. I am sure many of the people during those times have felt the way that we do now.

The main and only thing to do is to pray. Pray in ernest for mankind, for Our Father to show us His mercy so that He can hold back His strong arm from striking us (although we deserve it). Then if the prayers are constant and fervent, maybe one day man will change and then come to honor God the way that He should be.

Yours in Christ,

Yours in Christ,
