G-d's Plan For The Redemption of Mankind
There are many different verses in Scripture where we read about G-d's Provision.
When G-d Created The Worlds and everything we can see in the night sky, He also placed Adam, one of His Created Creatures called man, in the center of His Paradise here on earth. The man's job was to Subdue The Earth and follow G-d's Way in doing all things.
From the time when the first man Adam sinned against G-d his Creator and did it his way, man has lived in a fallen state and was removed from his Paradise.
Before Adam sinned, G-d had A Plan for The Redemption of man's soul and for restoring Paradise back to G-d's Way of living in His Creation. This would be before sin entered into Paradise and when Adam walked in The Cool of The Day with G-d.
In Scripture we read of G-d's Plan for Adam's Salvation and for The Salvation of all of mankind was in The Works of G-d's Provision. From before The Foundation of The Worlds, G-d's Perfect Lamb was to Redeem all of mankind.
I was asking Dan, how he viewed Scripture in The Light of G-d's Grace in His Plan of Salvation from New Testament Theology and compare that to The Tanakh and G-d's Plan of Salvation that was for The Jews first, during that earlier time period.
He asked me to start a new thread to discuss this differing position. Even though he is going to answer me back, I wanted to see if anyone has really studied The Jewish Bible we call The Old Testament? It is The Foundation of our Faith and it starts with The Torah. This is the first five Books of The Tanakh.
All of The Prophetic Books of The Tanakh, declare what G-d Hand of Provision has done and will do throughout all of time. In The Book of The Law, G-d reveals His Plan for Salvation which is by His Provision alone.
The Shadow of Salvation starts in Genesis and ends in Revelation. Between the covers G-d opens up and tells everything that will come to pass to provide this Redemption.
Every knee will bow and every tong will confess, that G-d Is and that is to say, All of His Creation will be doing this!
So to start with I will point out that Our Jesus of The King James Bible, is a Semite and was born in an Asia Country with a Semitic Name of Yeshua. He also spoke with a Semitic Tongue, of Aramaic as well as Ancient Hebrew and probably Greek as well.
There are several groupings of word that are used to identify how G-d sees all things in light of our time and place.
How do you see the Jews of Faith(Enoch, Noah, Abram etc.) who are mentioned in The Tanakh as having Salvation from G-d, but never actually knew The Who(Jesus) of The Christian New Testament Church in regards to their personal Salvation.
Shiolh is the closest name that The Jewish Tahakh comes to actually naming Yeshua(Jesus), from Genesis 49:10, a Messianic designation. Shiolh in Hebrew means The Peaceful One or Tranquility, from Strong's #7886, שִׁילֹה, shee-lo'. from Genesis 49:10, The King James Bible,
V10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him [shall] the gathering of the people [be], http://www.lockman.org.
Question: Who is The Lamb of G-d, slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8, is just an example, from The King James Bible,
V8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. http://www.lockman.org.
This particular verse is about all others who are not written down in The Book of Life and yet do worship The Lamb. The Prophetic climax of all time, ...Every knee shall bow... from Isaiah 45:23.
Please tell me what do you understand about Salvation and how it came to The Jews of The Old Testament?
There has been objections to my use of Revelation 13:8 and then referring to G-d's Salvation and Redemption with this section of The Scripture talking about The Deceiver of Mankind who has been given The Power to be The Prince and Power of This World for a time.
This portion of Revelation is a Prophetic Voice of The End Times, yet my reason for using this verse was to point out A Semitic Word Picture found in this Scripture Text authored by John The Revelator. He is talking about The Book of Life and John uses The Semitic Word Picture, "The Lamb of G-d(Yeshua/Jesus) who was Slain From The Foundation Of The World". It is in this usage of The Semitic Word Picture that we discover that G-d sees The Payment For Our Redemption by His Perfect Lamb that was willingly offered as G-d's Plan for our Salvation from The Beginning.
I know there are other meaning that can be used for this picture, but the one I want to focus on is, Who is The Lamb of G-d.
