In this Chapter of Nehemiah we will read about all of those who by Faith chose to follow all of what The Torah Teaches. The Laws, that were neglected and they gave their pledge to walk in them and uphold all of them. The Spirit of Repentance(Teshuvah) follows with the resolve of Nehemiah The Governor, Zedekiah and The People, to Change their old ways of neglect, and Renew their Spiritual Connection to The Holy Land.

First there is a list of 83 signatories of The Covenant of Faith(The Bris Amanah) with a seal. The Temple tax is established as one-third shekel because of the economy, down from Exodus 20:13-14 of one-half shekel, which was the same later is in New Testament Times.

It brings up The Oath, Intermarriage and The Sabbath. The Mitzvos, The Wood Offerings, The Firstborn, The First of Your Dough(Challah) and The First Fruits(Terumah) and Tithing.

Redemption of The First-born Male

Brother Collin,

This is a very important subject to understand clearly as a Christian or a Jew as well.

Luke talks a bout this redemption.

From Luke 2:23, it is written in the Law of the L-rd, "Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the L-rd",

From The King James Bible, Exodus 13:2, Sanctify unto me all the firstborn.

V2 Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, [both] of man and of beast: it [is] mine.

And from Leviticus 27:26, The firstborn of an animal.

V26 "'No one, however, may dedicate the firstborn of an animal, since the firstborn already belongs to the L-RD; whether an ox or a sheep, it is the L-RD's.

And from Numbers 3:13, The First borne male, man or animal.

V13 for all the firstborn are mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set apart for myself every firstborn in Israel, whether man or animal. They are to be mine. I am the L-RD."

And from Numbers 18:15, The First borne male, man and animal.

V15 The first offspring of every womb, both man and animal, that is offered to the LORD is yours. But you must redeem every firstborn son and every firstborn male of unclean animals.

What is being describing in this portion of The Scriptures, is what G-d has required of The Hebrews for every first born male that opens the womb.

It is what G-d requires. Every first born male Israelite, is to be redeemed by their father for a set price. This is part of The Mystery of G-d and points to Redemption. It also points to our personal Redemption as Son's of G-d, by our Heavenly Father, our Abab Father. He willingly offered His Firstborn Son as The Price to Redeem us from our sin and our rebellion.

Of course there are many other different ways that Redemption point out a return of Fellowship with G-d and His Holy Spirit, dwelling in Earthen Temples made of clay, that have not been made with human hands, but having been formed in our mother's womb by The Hands of G-d.

So with this post, I hope I have opened your Spiritual Eyes to some of this Mystery that is found within The Scriptures that is Revealed to those who were Found by G-d and now Seek His Ways.

You will find G-d dwelling in jars of clay that He has Shaped and Molded into Vessels of Worship and Praise unto Him.
