The Ascension

Yesterday (or last Thursday), Liturgical Churches celebrated the Ascension; i.e., the point when 40 days after the Ressurection, Jesus ascended bodily into heaven. What do y'all think are the implications for that? Do you think of Jesus as still having His ressurected body? Do you think we'll have bodies in heaven?

Jwmcmac-

I don't see anything unreasonable about the Catholic Church's teachings on this subject as described in your response. I was actually criticizing a different (for my own safety reasons they are unnamed) group in my response, I hope I am not taken as being a critic of RC, or at least not on this topic (I don't know everything about the RC.) The group I am describing has unconditionally condemned organ donors and cremated people; regardless of diseases, martyrdoms, etc. This baffles me completely, for even if one believes in a "same flesh resurrection" versus a "Glorified body"... in the resurrection, do I really need two kidneys? I don't need two kidneys right now! (Not that I am going to give one away before I die, though.)

Yes. JESUS is indeed the ultimate organ & blood donor! Thanks.
