The Ascension

Yesterday (or last Thursday), Liturgical Churches celebrated the Ascension; i.e., the point when 40 days after the Ressurection, Jesus ascended bodily into heaven. What do y'all think are the implications for that? Do you think of Jesus as still having His ressurected body? Do you think we'll have bodies in heaven?

Nate-

I believe it will be our bodies, otherwise we would not need the resurrection but our bodies will be different. Glorified, so to speak.

Remember when Moses came down from the mountain? His face was glowing.. well probably something along those lines but to greater intensity as we will be in the presence of God and in His spirit. So, the body will have a change to it.

This is what I understand from the scriptures. I believe that Jesus is in a bodily form similar to ours, for our sake, when he was here after the resurrection but had different properties as he could just appear and disappear. I believe that he is in body but so glorious that we could not be able to stand to see him in that form but this is how He would dwell in heaven.

Can't wait to find out - sometimes. :)

Yours in Christ,
Maria
