2. Augustine believes that no matter how evil a person is, there is always some good in that person. How does this help us understand the notion of salvation? Can anyone be "too far gone" from God?

Dear "jslade": It is very hard for me actually to get this, BUT God does not change and He continues to care about us all the time. That's just the way it is. Part of me always says: You know, God won't like me anymore because of what I am or how I act. Then, I think that God came to save sinners. It's just impossible for me to be good and perfect, and God knows that and He still came and suffered --- for me and people like me. Whoa! We should be happy almost all the time!
