Schaff-Herzog
I've said this before elsewhere, but I think it would be helpful to have article names in Schaff-Herzog this way: "Lancelot Andrewes" and not just this way "Andrewes, Lancelot".
The "Lancelot Andrewes" way should be in the name of the article, i.e.
http://www.ccel.org/ccel/schaff/encyclopedia/Lancelot_Andrewes
NOT
http://www.ccel.org/ccel/schaff/encyc01.html?term=Andrewes,%20Lancelot
and also the page title should be:
Lancelot Andrewes | New Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge, Vol. I: Aachen - Basilians | Christian Classics Ethereal Library
NOT
New Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge, Vol. I: Aachen - Basilians | Christian Classics Ethereal Library
A separate suggestion: I would love Schaff Herzog to be in Media-Wiki format; one could restrict editing to approved people as in Theopedia http://www.theopedia.com/ and there could be a section at the bottom of each page "Extra Information: additional material from sources outside the Schaff-Herzog Encyclopaedia" which would allow for additional and later material to be added by registered editors. Another advantage of Media-Wiki would be that people interested in particular articles could type them up, and it is in a familiar format for the vast number of Wikipedians.
Best wishes
Peter

digital facsimile system
The old work isn't lost.
The old system really wasn't workable, unfortunately. The XML files that resulted took too long to make valid, etc. to be viable on our end.
This summer we're hoping to build a replacement for the digital facsimile system that uses a browser-based HTML editor to enter the text and hopefully ensure that it's closer to valid.
