Dear Benoit-
I am sincerely sorry for the problem that you and your mom suffered at the hands of that one bad, judgemental priest. However, you cannot base a whole faith on that one experience.
As for bibles, I have always had a bible in my house as my parents did. That is false in what you are saying. Also, the Mass was said completely in Latin as I was growing up and we had Latin classes to learn the language and our missals had one side printed in Latin and the other side in English. This was until 1965 when slowly it was converted all in one language and now mass being said in the language that is common to the area. So, that again is false what you are saying.
Abuses are all over and we must pray that they stop.
There have been recently abuses within the Jewish faith, the megachurches as well. They all must be in our prayers.
Answer Michael with the information you are to provide him but this topic of bashing will have to come to an end. It does nothing good.
You need to get help for the hurt you are experiencing. I am sorry for that. You must also learn to forgive first before any real healing can be done. I pray that you will receive it. I wish you well.
