what power does Jesus have to save us?
I am not here to debate. And I am not going to say I agree or disagree with you. However, I was rasied in the Public School System in the late 1950's and early 1960's where they used several types of corporal punishment. And as a rebellious child, I got my share of punishment's i.e. the ruler on the hands (not one hand, but both hands) and the paddle and a few other choice punishments that the teachers thought appropriate at the time. Mind that I was between 4 and 10 years old at the time. Because of the corporal punishment of my early years in grade school, give me licencse to blame who I am now to the system? How about my childhood abuse from my mother and stepfather? We have the choice to either grow from those experiences and be better people or we can let those experiences dictate to us to be bitter, angry and spiteful human beings. That is where the power of Jesus' comes in. I could have fallen into the poor me syndrome of my abusive childhood and my experiences from the public schools. Or I could give Jesus my broken spirit and my anger, to make me a better person. Which I did back in 1981. Thank God for his Grace and Love, because of the Cross and the Power of Jesus I am a better wife (Moderator might disagree) and a Better Mother and a better Friend. Do I make mistakes? All the time. Am I forgiven? You Bet!! That is where the power of the blood comes in. I am covered by Christ's blood otherwise I am a lost sinner. Praise God! I am a Child of the King!! For those who want to know I was raised an Irish Catholic and now I am a Southern Baptist. And I love all people, doesn't matter what faith or color you are. I may not like you 100 percent of the time but I will love you all the same.
In Christ,
Princess TJ aka Tobie
