Ezra 5:9-10, Tattenai trys to Discover who gave the Jews, Orders

The Shethar(Satrap or governor)-bozenai(BOŽIDAR), from Beyond the River, or Tattenai, is now searching for the answer to his quest to find the one who authorized the Jews to do The Work

Lets read the next two verses of Ezra 5:9-10,

V9 Then we asked those elders, [and] spoke thus to them: "Who commanded you to build this temple and to finish these walls?" V10 We also asked them their names to inform you, that we might write the names of the men who [were] chief among them.

From all the things I see, Tattenai does not know of the history of his Provence very well. He has, more than likely, been appointed to the job, without ever living in the area by the King of Persia. This is what appears to me to be what has caused this lack of knowledge in the first place for Tattenai, The Shethar(Satrap or Governor)-bozenai(BOŽIDAR). He has no idea about Cyrus or that he commissioned The Jews to build for him a House of G-d in Jursalem, of Judah.
