When is the moment someone is born again?
I attended a baptism where the pastor stated, after the individual came up out of the water, that she was now born again. I am hoping this was more of a figure of speech but it got me thinking.
Shouldn't we say that a person is born again the moment one has been made aware of their total depravity and their need for redemption? How can someone become aware and then act upon that awareness if they are still dead in their sins?

Your parochial theology and
Your parochial theology and approach is novel and appears to lend itself to prolix responses. It appears as well that you do have a poor grasp of Protestant theological methods. Again, if you wish to discuss an individual passage's merit and do so contextually/historically and exegetically and move on from there in comparison with other passages without the assumption other passages simply agree with you without argument for their support as well, then we can continue. Otherwise we probably are at our end here. Thanks.
