The Book of Ezra Chapter 4, Opposition by The Elamites

Most of this Chapter will cover the opposition who see this new threat of power which The Jews seem to have as they work on the restoration of The Temple with Cyrus,Xerxes and Artaxerxes. Work comes to a stop until the Second year of reign of Darius, King of Persia.

Names like Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabbl, Rehum, Shimshai, The Elamites, those whom Osnappaar deported to Sumaria are now causing a slow down in Jerusalem with the restoration of The Temple.

Now I do not want to give a bad name to The Samaritans here but want to describe why they were looked down upon by the True blood line of Israel who were not taken off by the First Assyrian conquest.

This is going to come up very soon in the book of Ezra, so I need to go over it with you , the class and give all of you some things to think about.

The most important thing as a Jewish observer of Torah, is to be a doer of IT not just observing IT. One thing that Ezra will bring up is intermarrying with those outside of The Faith of Abraham.
