For Catholics the answer is Purgatory.

What is the answer for Protestants?

1 Corinthians 3:15
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Jqlogan, It is appointed

It is appointed unto men to die once . . . but don't die the second death . . . don't die the death of the soul . . . forever in hell.

Fear the one who can kill both body and soul forever in hell for all eternity.

There will be the resurrection to eternal Life and the resurrection to eternal death.

The wages of sin is death . . . Scripture says . . . sin leads to both physical and Spiritual Death . . . to avoid this . . . we are not to any longer act in accord with the flesh . . . but to be Holy in thought, word and in our actions . . . imitating CHRIST . . . by Grace Living and Acting Soberly and Righteously in service to Justice which requires the Sacrifice of our Lives in imitation of CHRIST, if necessary, dying to sin and dying to ourselves and dying and Sacrificing ourselves for one another's Salvation in CHRIST.

Confessing our sins and repenting there-of. The Church and the Sacraments help us to do this . . . restoring us to Grace if we should be so unfortunate or so weak as to fall . . . CHRIST . . . through our Mother the Church . . . restores us so that we can continue the good fight against the world, the flesh and the devil and against our own selves.

The first death is not to be worried about. CHRIST has conquered the first death . . . making it possible for us to Live Eternally in Union with HIS Incarnate and Glorified Sacred Humanity.

But don't die the second death . . . the eternal death of both our body and soul.

There is an Resurrection to Eternal Life in CHRIST from the first death.

There is Resurrection to Eternal death for those who die unrepentant . . . clinging to their sins.

If we don't warn them . . . it is on us . . . and only GOD knows our culpability.

We will all stand 'speechless' at our judgement . . . only listening.

GOD Bless us all and have Mercy on us all, in CHRIST.
