1 Corinthians 3:15 -but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire

For Catholics the answer is Purgatory.

What is the answer for Protestants?

1 Corinthians 3:15
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

De Maria . . . You really

De Maria . . .

You really express well the Teachings of the Church, like Michael.

the compound quotes of several:

"A penny is a penny and a widow is a widow, nothing more.

Give me this penny which is worth more than gold. Introduce me to this widow whose pennies are worth more than the riches of all the rich men.

Obviously, this is either an extraordinary widow or an extraordinary penny. Otherwise Jesus would not have brought attention to them.

So, please explain, if this is an ordinary penny, how can it be worth more than the rich man's gold? And if this widow is not a saint, why is her sacrifice worth more than that of the rich man?"

jwmcmac comments:

I believe this 'widow' to be Mary.

JESUS . . . out of respect for the Humility of HIS Mother . . . did not identify Her . . . but spoke here of HIS Mother.

. . . this is an explanation of Scripture . . . that a Protestant might not 'see' or even 'look for' . . . and which a Protestant might even 'actively' deny as not being Scriptural . . . though my explanation makes much more sense then does their denial.

These 'cannot resist' complaining that I am here giving 'too much' honor to the Mother of Our LORD . . . they not seeing the silliness or the pettiness of their taking such an opposing or resisting side to this 'speculation' of mine . . . they seeming to believe that such as this 'honor' given to Mary 'detracts' from the Saviour.

No. It does not.

To those who do not mind giving 'Honor' to Mary . . . "all generations calling Her Blessed' . . . I apologize for possibly lumping you into such a group.

Hey, unfortunately, some Catholics are in that group.

Some of them probably go to Notre Dame.

Can I get an Amen, brothers? . . . just kidding . . . sort of . . .

GOD Bless us all.
