For Catholics the answer is Purgatory.

What is the answer for Protestants?

1 Corinthians 3:15
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Well Staller, You've got a

Well Staller,

You've got a pretty good understanding . . . of how it works . . . I believe . . . now, just extend that a bit into the realm of . . . 'un-approachable Light' . . . and being in the immediate Presence of GOD . . . which can lead to total obliteration for those who are not properly prepared for the Sight . . . through 'Perfection' in 'Holiness'.

Remember, JESUS didn't allow Mary Magdelene to touch HIM . . .

Saint John Chapter 20:

"17 Jesus saith to her: Do not touch me, for I am not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren, and say to them: I ascend to my Father and to your Father, to my God and your God."

I'm thinking we must be very Pure and Holy in order to be in GOD The FATHER's immediate Presence . . . only we wearing CHRIST and HE wearing us . . . us in HIM and HE in us . . . by the Gift of Sanctifying Grace of the HOLY SPIRIT and by the Worthy Reception of the Sacraments . . . which are the normal and ordinary 'means' by which CHRIST joins HIS Incarnate and Glorified Self to our Nature.

I know . . . JESUS has provided us the proper 'clothes' and such to wear . . . yes . . . providing this to us in Grace and in the Truth of our Nature.

It won't do to just say We Believe in HIM . . . we will have to demonstrate that . . . as I see it.

I Hope and Pray that we can 'all' 'demonstrate' that, in CHRIST and through the SPIRIT.

"This is the Love of GOD, that we 'Keep' HIS Commands" . . . some of those Commands being to 'Repent' and 'Believe' the Gospel.

Purgatory makes 'sense' . . . even with CHRIST having done it all for us.

We have 'free-will'.

We may 'Believe' and not yet be 'Perfect' or not yet be 'Holy' when we meet our end of this Life.

CHRIST said, "Be Perfect' . . . 'Be Holy' . . . "as the FATHER is Perfect and as the FATHER is Holy".

If we are not yet 'there' yet at the moment of our Death . . . not yet Perfect and not yet Holy . . . but are on the way . . . Purgatory will finish this process for us before we meet the FATHER.

GOD Bless you all and us all.
