In the Order of Worship/Service, what is essential?

Tony Germain's picture

I thought I'd throw this thought out into the light of day. In our various church backgrounds, what do you consider as essential in your Order of Worship and what parts are secondary (indifferent) or to say, may help and not harm a Worship Service?

What is the main reason you attend church?

From a Circumcised Heart, Worship G-d.

I am a non social person, not that I don't like people, it's the usual lack of wanting to conform to the social norm that a person must carry when he is in a group of people.

Most Churches contain some form of plan that will be followed during the gathering time.

I have been in most all of the different forms of Church Worship. The ones I like the best are where G-d's Spirit is moving within each of the believers and giving all gathered a personal touch of The Presence of G-d in the gathering.

I do believe that we, as "Believers in The Christ" have a different personal love relationship with each other, that this world does not shared in common. By the purpose of being conformed unto G-d's ways and doing what Jesus said we should do, we are fulfilling His Commandment. In loving one another, there is a interpersonal link G-d's Spirit brings to His Church which is not of this world.

Do not forsake the gathering together of The Saints of G-d. This is a Commandment that Jesus gave His Bride, The Church, before He bodily went up into The Heavens.

Within "The Church Gathering", He said to "Celibate" His return as often as you meet. Doing this "Celebration" with the eating and drinking of His Body and Blood in remembrance of Him is the most important part of Worship.

If we are doing this as unto G-d then we are fulfilling His Commandment, till He Comes.

There is more that could be done, but the gathering is the most important part and the Communion Celebration is the most personal thing we can do unto G-d.

The singing of a Hymn is also done together and makes us as partakers together in G-d's Creation, by worshiping Him.

Prayer is a link to G-d's Sovereign Throne and should be done by all with a "Repented Heart" unto Him. Some one could lead this who has the Divine Call of G-d on his life.

There should be a blessing of the Saints that are gathered for Worship in the begins and ends of The Service to G-d.

I personal love all kinds of worship, because that is what G-d created us to be doing, and as "All His Creation" is also Doing.
