Daniel 7, Revelation 12, and Revelation 13 have a lot in common which tends to lend credence to the idea that they are speaking of the same period.
1. They all begin in the Old Testament period
Dan 7 has the Lion, Bear, Leopard
Rev 13 has them in reverse order: Leopard, Bear, Lion
Rev 12 has the woman who has not yet given birth to the man child.
2. They all describe next a dragon period
Dan 7 the dragon (beast) gives its power to the little horn
Rev 12 the dragon waits to slay the child and persecutes the woman and her offspring
Rev 13 the dragon gives the beast his seat, power, and authority
3. the dragon has ten horns in all three chapters
4. All three have periods of exact duration
Dan 7 has time, times, and half a time or 3 1/2 years
Rev 12 has 1260 days
Rev 13 has 42 months
5. The earth helps the woman

Rev 12 the earth helps the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the flood of persecution
Rev 13 a beast with lamb-like horns arises out of the earth which could well symbolize a peaceful nation like America which arose from a wilderness of sorts where no nations existed. Her two great powers, or horns, are guaranteed by Her constitution: Civil and Religious liberty. These have made her the greatest nation on earth.
