What beemanlee has done is much closer to the thoughts and intentions of the Biblical writers than those who simply translate the words "God" and "Lord" for modern translations of the scriptures. Ancient Hebrews, believing the name of God to be too sacred to write down, rarely wrote the actual name at all, striving to honor the commandment regarding the Lord's name. Often, instead of writing the sacred name, they wrote the word "Lord," or Elohim instead of YHWH. Beemanlee inherits this spirit of custom or habit, in an effort to preserve the sanctity of what the Bible calls explicitly holy and preserved.
It's ironic, isn't it? You feel that not writing out the Lord's name in full is demeaning, while I suspect that Lee feels it is demeaning to throw around the sacred names with no regarding for the Biblical commandment about the sacred names. It's a reminder than of just how different we can end up in practicing faith in the same Lord.
Lee, I hope you'll forgive me if I've misrepresented your thoughts.
