they also don't realize that meanings change. like gay meant only to be happy and cool meant to be cold. in 1611 replenish had one meaning only and that was to fill. in 1650 they added a new definition to it and that was to fill again. later on they flip the definitions around. later they took out the first definition all together so now it only means to refill.
