this is something i try to figure out some time now.please try to back your awnser with scripture, this question being part of a biblestudy.

Cain could've found a wife not his relative if God created other people not mentioned in Genesis. People panic because that affects some doctrines of original sin, but if thats really how we're going to treat Genesis we might as well remember that Noah family was descended from Adam's family, so there's nothing to worry about. But again theres no reason we can't read Genesis as a sacred metaphor: if Jesus could teach about heaven in parables, why couldn't God teach about earth through parables? There's no good critique to this but its too scary for most people and so they shove it aside.
But if they don't shove it aside, then "where cain got his wife" is a silly question missing the point.
