This thread is for the discussion of secular/pagan Xmas problems and thoughts. I used Xmas to differentiate this thread form the Christmas thread. To discuss the birth of Jesus please use the Christmas Thread.

No mandate

You are correct that Scripture does not mandate the Sabbath be observed on Sunday.

However, the whole topic is misunderstood by both Saturday and Sunday keepers. Those who go to church on Saturday do not do so in keeping with Old Testament law, which mandates staying at home and resting. Synagogue attendance on the Sabbath did not begin until the Babylonian captivity, and women weren't invited. Those who believe they are worshipping in a church on Sunday to keep a revised Sabbath are totally confused. Saturday is the Sabbath, a day of rest at home. Sunday is a day of worship of the resurrected Savior. And that is not mandated, so those who choose to put one another down for which day they go to church are 100% wrong either way as far as Scripture is concerned. We are told to worship the Savior, not judge how others do so.
