Christmas
What joy could have been in a father or mother's heart to have so precious a gift as a child! But, sometimes I think of the Father who knew the fate that awaited His son. Were my son to face such a scourging and death, would I allow it to happen? Nay! Never! I would be at war with all who would do such a thing and I would shed their blood before a drop of my son's would flow. How can I reconcile the Christ, the Father and my love for my children? It must be that I DO understand His love for His children, but fail to reckon with Christ's love for sinners. He could not stand by and see His sheep ravaged by wolves, their lives destroyed by sin. Truly, this is love.
