I am a Christian (non-denominational) from the Midwest. I am married (26 yrs) with 3 kids(all grown) and 1 grandchild. I work in the IT field on mainframes and servers at a Medical University/Hospital.
What do I hope to gain- well I peaked so I know how it ends. But seriously, John wrote the book to the first century church and I believe that it was meant to be understood. I don't think John (or any of the Bible writers) had a clue that their writings would live beyond their first century audience. I hope to gain insite on how the first century Church would have understood the symbolism and the relevent historical occurrences that shaped their interpretation of the symbolism.
