The Easter Bunny and other secular/pagan Easter practices

Just who is this Easter Bunny? Where did he come from? How did he get into Christ's resurrection? Should Christian's participate? What other secular/pagan Easter practices are in Christ's Resurrection? For discussions on the Resurrection of Christ then please use the Passover thread.

Jqlogan, All good points
Jqlogan,
All good points again . . . and thank you . . . as I do not really disagree with you . . . but . . .
My point is . . . do not lay an unecessary burden . . . for show or for 'legalistic' reasons.
Certainly do not 'scandalize' either . . . your weaker brother . . . but don't give in to 'excess' 'fear' and legalistic 'restrictions' . . .
It is claimed by those who don't understand the Faith . . . that . . .
. . . we Catholics have too many 'restrictions' . . . though our restrictions are not really a burden . . . but are a means of 'demonstrating' or 'showing' our Faith . . . with 'prayer' and 'fasting' for the sake of the LORD or for the sake of the Kingdom.
Our reasons for religious restrictions and rules are more Spiritual than 'letter' . . . if we are doing it right . . . as also was meant for by the Jews in their 'practices' . . . but which they could not achieve until CHRIST came and gave them HIS Spirit on a wider and deeper basis.
Peter said . . . that we could now . . . eat anything . . . now having no dietary restrictions by Faith . . . not calling any 'foods' 'unclean' anymore . . . as there had been every sort of 'unclean' thing in the Jewish Law.
This was in reference to 'physical' foods.
Do not 'burden' unecessarily.
We still have restrictions on 'Spiritual' foods. We still cannot eat 'Spiritually' things which cause us to sin . . . such as 'looking upon a woman with lust'.
When Catholics Fast, this has a physical aspect, but is more properly a Spiritual exercise . . . and 'Fasting' should always be accompanied by 'Prayer' as well.
Anyway . . . I am not saying this all very well . . . so don't be too stressed by what I have said . . . and . . . please . . . do not 'stress' me either . . . he said with a smile . . . Thanks.
GOD Bless us all.
