The Easter Bunny and other secular/pagan Easter practices

Just who is this Easter Bunny? Where did he come from? How did he get into Christ's resurrection? Should Christian's participate? What other secular/pagan Easter practices are in Christ's Resurrection? For discussions on the Resurrection of Christ then please use the Passover thread.

If everything began with God, and pagan culture is a corruption, then returning Christ to the culture is progress. The cross is a great example; his blood sanctified and transformed a symbol of social, religious, and economic oppression into a symbol of God's victory and freedom.

Do I love the Easter Bunny? No. But "extra" ornamentation isn't a sign of the apocalypse, methinks. Neither is rising early to greet the Son God has renewed.
