Just who is this Easter Bunny? Where did he come from? How did he get into Christ's resurrection? Should Christian's participate? What other secular/pagan Easter practices are in Christ's Resurrection? For discussions on the Resurrection of Christ then please use the Passover thread.

"My point to your comment was that it is possible to "christianize" pagan people like pagan rituals or pratices are.
Then you are left with a fake "just as a pretty glaze covers a common clay pot." Proverbs 26:23
That's how you can have a sincere christian eating an easter bunny with an unbeliever celebrating easter as a cultural habit!
God is good isn't He?"

Not sure what you are saying . . . but I'll take it well.
It is not 'fake' if it is a True Conversion to CHRIST . . . even if not perfectly carried out.
Rather, it is 'fake' if it is performed as a 'ruse' and 'insincerely' . . . as a lie.
Sincerity is not 'sufficient' to make a wrong practice right . . . but 'sincerity' is one of the necessary ingredients of making something 'righteous'.
Sometimes, the LORD said, "it is enough" . . . implying perhaps that 'it is enough' sometimes to do things in a manner which perhaps does not seem to be perfect or adequate for the situation at hand.
This is why you Protestants still have a chance . . .
. . . that's a joke . . . okay.
One of my favorite passages of Scripture is when those whom JESUS had sent out came back telling them that some . . . who did not belong to HIM or to their group . . . were using HIS Name and such as that . . . and the LORD said to leave them be . . . 'because they cannot do that and at the same time speak ill of ME".
Maybe they won't speak ill of the LORD, but that doesn't keep them from talking bad about HIS Church . . .
. . . another joke . . . okay . . .
Here is a very Hopeful passage . . . at least to me . . . concerning all who may not be doing it exactly correctly . . .
Saint Mark Chapter 9
"37 John answered him, saying: Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, who followeth not us, and we forbade him.
38 But Jesus said: Do not forbid him. For there is no man that doth a miracle in my name, and can soon speak ill of me.
39 For he that is not against you, is for you."
Now of course these people were obviously somewhat sincere.
. . . What this passage of course does not address are those who will say "LORD LORD" at the judgement . . . and CHRIST not 'knowing' them . . . they obviously doing something wrong with their approach to all of this USING of the LORD's Name to work Miracles.
Further . . .
There is a Cultural aspect to everything human . . . even in our practice of religion . . . with religion and culture sometimes all running together . . .
. . . and this being at least one reason why the Church strives very much to 'restrict' the 'rubrics' of the Mass to be the same everywhere in the Ordinary parts of the Mass . . . that part which is said by the Priest alone . . . so that the religion does not lose itself in the various Cultures . . .
. . . while still the Church with some allowance of variety in the parts of the Mass . . . in those parts of the Mass where the people participate . . . such as the people being able to respond in the vernacular of the locality in which they reside.
Isn't Religion supposed to 'shape' Culture and perhaps vice-versa?
Is this just a one-way street? . . . another thread . . . not now . . . not here.
Anyway, 'fake' is fake and is 'insincere' . . . and 'sincere' at least has the chance to be 'genuine' and Hopeful even if not perfect.
However, we are to strive to be 'Perfect' and 'Holy' as is our Heavenly FATHER.
GOD Bless us all.
