THE CLOUD OF UNKNOWING - CHAPTER 24

For as it is said 156before, that the substance of this work is nought else but a naked intent directed unto God for Himself.

Here I think the author

Here I think the author tells us what Jesus told us... To love our neighbor as we love ourselves and to love God with all our hearts, mind and soul. If we love everyone as our dearest friend, or as if we were standing before Jesus, and seeing the divine, then we would be living our lives as God planned us to do. As we love we become closer to God, and when we love those who wishes us harm, then we are moving even closer to God. When all else falls away and we love God in all, then we have stripped ourselves and are naked before God. To enter the cloud we need to be like innocent babes.
