Rather then scatter our requests for help with a book across all the training threads, how about if we try to post questions and requests for help here?

Image only documents

Victor and Mark,

Thank you to both of you for your interest in helping us proofread the thousands of documents at CCEL.

While there are many documents that can be proofread and edited, those that are still only images, like Baxter's Practical Works, or Athanasus' Paradise, Vol. 1, have several steps to go through before they can be edited by proofreaders. At the present time, image documents are first made into word processor documents, such as MSWord for PCs or Pages for iMacs. The second step is to make an xml document out of the word processor document. The third step is to further massage the document into a ThML document. When all of this has been done, the ThML document is posted by Harry or Brad. After all of this, it can finally be proofread and edited to conform the Internet version to the original as much as possible. The images cannot be edited, and we normally try to make the final document as close to the original as possible, errors and all.

On the other hand, Athanasius' "On the Incarnation of the Word" has had these formative steps done, and it is ready for proofreading. Likewise, Baxter's "Call to the Unconverted to Turn and Live."

I hope this helps.
