THE CLOUD OF UNKNOWING - NINTH CHAPTER

Insomuch, that when thou weenest best to abide in this darkness, and that nought is in thy mind but only God; an thou look truly thou shalt find thy mind not occupied in this darkness, but in a clear beholding of some thing beneath God.

Once again we are noticing that we speak different languages when it comes to mysticism and contemplation. So we have different signs that point us all to the same place, but as we learn to communicate with others we use different signs. Everyone please keep this in mind as we move forward. Two people could argue about a particular point, but in actuality be saying exactly the same thing. My thought here was to make some "law" in the language, so that we could communicate better and more consistently, but I don't want to do that, because I wouldn't want to interrupt the creativity and expression that freely flows here. Let's just keep it in mind and try to be clear about what we are saying.
