In summary!

Here we are at the end of Jude. A book written to warn Christians about false teachers and philosophies that steal away from the life and power that is in a Spirit filled life.

Observe how;
The false teachers look at the true teachers and accuse them of heresy.
The true teachers look at the false teachers and accuse them of heresy.

I know that is true in real life experience as well as the testimony of scripture.
Proverbs 29:27 says that “The godly despise the wicked; the wicked despise the godly.”
A quick reading of the 4 gospels give testimony to that in the ministry of Jesus.

But after all the arguments and insinuations, a new or immature believer may still find confusion when trying to evaluate the true Christian life and church.

The true church preaches a life changing gospel that is evidenced in a God that works and individuals that work. The gospel is more than an Academic presentation of truth, as good as that may be. But, the life changing Truth is Jesus Christ.
He is a Person ... not just a collection of principles.

The gospel is life changing (Colossians 1:6) and the scripture says that
“… wisdom is shown to be right by the lives of those who follow it.” Luke 7:35.

Look for that when looking for good Christian fellowship and leadership.

Christians are spritually born, develop and grow. Don’t judge them by where they are at but where they are headed.

Here are some good questions to ask about promoters of heresy;

Are the “ministers of the gospel” profusely rich in the midst of poverty?
Are the “ministers of the gospel” insisting on a reliance on man or the flesh above that of God’s Word and Holy Spirit?
Are the “ministers of the gospel” expert at talking but not walking?
Are the “ministers of the gospel” stained with a reputation of sexual immorality?

False religions and churches are typified in scripture as adultery and harlotry. Revelation 17 further describes this system as being mothered by the “Mother of Harlots”.
This Mother that resides somewhere has spawned children (false religions and denominations) down thru the ages.

And she is doomed for destruction as well as her children. Don’t let the posterity of a system fool you into believing that because of it’s longevity that the system is valid.
Remember that Satan and his system existed long before the church did.
