Practical Mysticism - CHAPTER VI - LOVE AND WILL

"Only the real, say the mystics, can know Reality, for “we behold that which we are,” the universe which we see is conditioned by the character of the mind that sees it: and this realness—since that which you seek is no mere glimpse of Eternal Life, but complete possession of it—must apply to every aspect of your being, the rich totality of character, all the “forces of the soul,” not to some thin and isolated “spiritual sense” alone."

I have really slowed down on chapter VI. It seems I have barely comprehended chapter V (I practise daily successfully for only 10 minutes before my mind wanders hopelessly!) and now am asked to give up attachments. My soul soars but my head spins and I am unnerved!

My question is this: Are we to perfect each chapter before going to the next chapter. I notice there are fewer comments on this chapter than any other. Should I stay at this chapter until I fully understand and experience what it portrays. (I fear I shall be very old if I do that!)
