Put your thoughts, memories and stories of Passover here. For the secular/pagan discussion of Easter please use the Easter Bunny thread.
I'm not understanding the ideas being presented here. Are some of the Christians who have posted on this thread under the impression that we must still abide by the Jewish Passover?
Christians, we are under another Law:
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Christ is our Passover:
1 Corinthians 5:7
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
Certainly it is good to understand the Old Testament and thereby to have a greater insight into our faith in Christ. But the Old Covenant is passed away:
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
