If Jesus Christ is "The Word" then can the Bible be "The Word of God" ?
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
But now Jesus Christ is gone and we are awaiting his return. In the meantime, the Holy Spirit is present to us, but not Jesus Christ.
Since the Bible calls Jesus Christ "The Word" but does not call itself so as a whole (in place it says "thus says the Lord", but only about specific passages), is it still correct to refer to the Bible as "The Word of God". I am thinking here about all the debates regarding "inerrancy", etc. If Jesus is the Word then HE is inerrant. But if HE is then the Bible, which is NOT Jesus Christ, is not.
Any ideas ?
