Venite Exultemus Domino (Litany)

Leader:
The Lord is in his Holy Temple;
let us come before his presence with thanksgiving,
and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Congregation:
O come let us sing unto the Lord;
Let us heartily rejoice in the strength of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving,
And show ourselves glad in him with psalms.

Leader:
I was glad when they said unto me,>
Let us go into the house of the Lord.

Congregation:
O come let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness;
And let the whole earth stand in awe of him.

Leader:
Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem,
The city of our God, in the mountains of his holiness.

Congregation:
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
They shall prosper that love thee.
Peace be within thy walls and prosperity in thy palaces.

Leader:
For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say;
Peace be within thee.

Congregation:
Amen
