I'm up to chapter 7 and I read all the postings. As I've read both the book and the postings a memory keeps comming to my mind. I've experienced a darkness when my spirit was leaving my physical body. I had passed a kidney stone and the physican while checking out the condition of my bladder punctured my colon wall and the germs within my colon got into my blood stream needless to say this was not good for my body. I must have been in the third stages of death when I experienced this darkness.
I seemed to be high up in this darkness, no fear, just peace and I observed a body far below me surrounded in red. Saying to myself, wow, someone has a fever when I realized it was myself. The dawning came what was happening, I was dying. Then in a flash I was surrounded by a bright light. I just started going down a list of things that I've not completed and two children still in my care. As I completed the list asking not to die just yet I found myself in the earth. I could smell the earth and saw tree roots, still no fear, I simply asked, has my life been so bad that I'm headed for Hell. I heard a voice that said in answer, "No death is trying to take you before your time.
In that moment I was awake in and Intensive Care.
