Ellen White was a 19th-century "prophet" in the tradition of Joseph Smith, Charles Taze Russel, Mary Baker Eddy, etc. She plagiarized, contradicted herself as well as the Bible, and asserted that her words were either all from God, or none of them were from God. She said her words would live on after she was dead, imparting truth. Her writings are deceptive and have no place in a library of true Christian authors. Her works should be evaluated on the basis of Deuteronomy 18:22 and 1 Timothy 4:1-4.
