All of scripture contains a truth for any person

In general every verse of scripture contains some truth for any person who reads it, so don't let anyone tell you some parts are only for the nation of Israel and others are only for the Church.

Specifically though we know that the audience Jesus was speaking to was His disciples...

Mat 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

...and these disciples were Jews who also would become the Church.
