Without using the Bible, can you prove the existence of God?

kerygma is the key

Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:

I think there are many proofs for God depending on what one accepts as evidence. So we have moral args and cosmological args where we try to create rationalistic proofs, but some don't buy it. We can create proofs from religious experience but theres no guarantee that your going to have any takers. But lets say you did? I convinced a guy one time using the teleological proof for God's existence. He walked away a believer in God. But, he didn't buy into the Gospel. And that friends is what we are to be communicating.

You see the issue is not fancy syllogisms for God's existence, rather it is "kerygma" its not apologetics its "In the beginning God..." and ends with the " Halleluiah chorus ." "Ah but you must give me proofs" the non-believer asks. "Well actually I really don't because your not in any epistemically sound position to ask me to." As the scripture verse above reminds us, the non-believer already knows the God we are talking about through natural revelation. That is why proofs really aren't the issue. The issue is the kerygma of Christ and Him crucified.

Amen?
