in a social network i post various scriptures and there are a couple of handfuls of people who appreciate it, but there are double if not triple the people who dispute and are angry calling christians intolerant and hypocrites. i didnt know how to respond to that critism.

Jesus had this reply, to a very hostile person:

Jesus said to him: “It is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’” Luke 4
That's direct, but many will take it as tactless. (The truth is often seen that way.)

Another answer, by a man who was asked by a friendly person if he thought the true worship of the true God Jehovah was the only way. He said, 'Of course. If I didn't think so I would be out looking for another way.' Direct and friendlier. It also gives the other person a chance to reply; perhaps asking what's so good about Christianity or offering a point about their belief system.

I have a couple more for generic use, if these two have any interest to you.
And remember, "Bear in mind the word I said to YOU, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute YOU also; if they have observed my word, they will observe YOURS also."
