What are the interests of Christ Jesus?

Phi 2:21 "For they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus." NASB

This verse may well get to the heart of service to the Lord. Can anyone please tell me what this means, in a practical sense.

Please consider the issue in light of Jn 6:28-29:

28 "Therefore they said to Him, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?” 29 "Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” NASB

Thanks -Dick

Romans 10 contains at least a partial answer, from one who

spent most of his life acting out Phil 2:21- which he wrote.

Vv. 13-15 show what had to be done after the Christ had left the vicinity of the earth. And v. 16 shows that there is more involved than just "believing". You can also compare John 3:36. After famously conversing with Nicodemus, he makes a contrast that amplifies this thought:
"He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him."
IOW disobedience can be the same as lack of faith, which is serious indeed.

So your OP question is a good one, but the answer may be more involved than you think.
