The question of sin

Casalis's picture

Would someone please answer this question... Jesus came to free us from sin but sin still remains a struggle in the lives of His church. How exactly did He free us from sin as He said in John 10? Surely God can give abundant grace to His children so that they sin no more but its as if though He holds back that grace and allows the struggle though He hates sin.. Could someone find a consensus here?

Sin and Grace

well my friend,

The first thing is: Grace is not what remove sin from our live. It in and of itself is the frogivness of our sins. It is Christ blood and sacrifice that removes the sin from our soul. yet our bodies which are still living in the flesh are prone to sin. Paul struggles with this issue in many of his letters. alot in romans. Salvation in the start of change in our lives, it's like we were drafted.
Now not only do we learn there is a fight but we have to fight it. and as we fight it then we learn more what it was like to be Christ in a sinful world.
In Christ,
