the crus intectum and hispida chlamys, may suit the Highlanders; but the finibus uliginosis may rather apply to the Irish bogs. William of Malmsbury expressly mentions the Welsh and Scots, etc. (l. iv. p. 133), who quitted, the former venatiorem , the latter familiaritatem pulicum .
