The GOLDEN LEGEND Volume 2 (aka LIVES of the SAINTS) recounts the faith and suffering of over thirty saints/martyrs many of whom are from the Bible or Apocrypha. Fascinating accounts of people such as Job, Tobit, Judith, Joshua and Andrew are found in this book. The story of Archbishop Nicasius and his sister Eutropia being beheaded by Vandals invading the city of Rheims, France, is recounted in this volume. Each story is inspiring. Stories first compiled in 1275 and published in 1470. Eventually translated into English by William Caxton and published in 1483.This volume includes the conversion of Paul with commentary.
